Mangusan Graveyard which was built in 1933 is situated on Mangusan Mountain that stretches through Guri-si, Gyeonggi-do and Myeonmok-dog and Mangu-dong, Seoul. Many historical figures including Manhae Han Yong-un; Park In-hwan, a poet; Bang Jeong-hwan, the person who established Children’s Day; Ji Seok-yeong, the person who contributed greatly to the elimination of smallpox in Korea; and Lee Jung-seop, a painter, are buried in this place. Its cultural value has been widely recognized, and the beltway is well-known for cherry blossoms. Many people visit this place for a walk or to jog especially in spring.
