'ㄱ' , 'ㄹ' are from the first letters of Guri in the Korean language and the circle in the center stands for the unity and harmony among people, green a pastoral city where life is pleasant, and red the rising sun as a city of hope and the 8 lines denote the city as a nexus for transportation.
